What are the problems of our communication and information exchange society?
Communication and information have long since fallen into the hands of finance.
The dictates of ratings drive the media to emphasise the sordid, the sensational or the trivial.
Media outlets in many countries are used as propaganda tools or are censored to limit dissent.
Advertising is omnipresent, adapted to the profile of the consumers, inciting the whole population to consume again and again, extolling the benefits of a materialistic happiness.
What are the benefits of a sharing society in communication and information?
Communication exchanges reflect the vitality of a society, its ability to exchange information to strengthen ties, acquire knowledge, and access new personal and professional perspectives
A sharing society cuts through the propaganda of commerce and guarantees fair information, processed with the aim of informing and not making money.
What to do in my assembly Communication / Information?
- Review the challenges of the sector to move towards positive journalism and free and independent information.
- To raise the awareness of the actors in this field (citizen movements, associations and inhabitants) of the advantages of a sharing society in terms of communication and information.
- To contribute to the implementation ofconcrete projects in favour of a world of sharing.
Let’s keep in mind that it is a priority togather massively in order to make a transition.
The solution to the excesses of the market system and to most of the global challenges lies in the transition to a post-monetary world.
Waiting to be autonomous “outside the system” to get rid of money will certainly prevent us from doing so one day: a tiny part of the population has the capacity to achieve autonomy (lack of time, money, energy, land, health, tools, knowledge). => Humanity is autonomous, in everything, today!
Example of actions to be taken in my assembly:
Raise awareness of the sector’s stakeholders on the challenges of a sharing society and the benefits of the Great Project.
- Participate in or organise fairs, meetings, debates on communication or information to bring people together.
- Create a positive local newspaper highlighting local initiatives in line with a sharing world.
- Contribute locally to the dissemination of the Great Project.
- Organise by profession to offer free monthly services and offer them to members.
