Maintenance / Repair / Recycling
What are the problems of our exchange society in maintenance, repair, recycling?
Perhaps one of the sectors most affected by the financial system, maintenance, repair and recycling have become huge businesses. Heavily enriched by programmed obsolescence and over-consumption,this sector is highly dependent on the design capabilities of engineers who are driven by profitability.
What are the benefits of a sharing society in maintenance, repair, recycling?
In a sharing society, the main prerogative of these same engineers would be zero waste, a much longer lifespan for their inventions, and to aim for 100% recyclability or easy repair. Moreover, free from the constraints of money, innovation in this sector would lead to major levers for depolluting the planet.

Objectives of my meeting Maintenance / Repair / Recycling?
- Review the challenges of the sector to move towards sustainable and ecological objects.
- To raise the awareness of actors in this field (engineers, citizen movements, associations and inhabitants) of the advantages of a sharing society in terms of maintenance, repair and recycling.
- To contribute to the implementation ofconcrete projects in favour of a world of sharing in maintenance, repair and recycling.
Let’s keep in mind that it is a priorityto gather massively in order to make a transition.
The solution to the excesses of the market system and to most of the global challenges liesin the transition to a post-monetary world.
Waiting to be autonomous “outside the system” to get rid of money will certainly prevent us from doing so one day: a tiny part of the population has the capacity to achieve autonomy (lack of time, money, energy, land, health, tools, knowledge). => Humanity is autonomous, in everything, today!
